New Zealand Flyfishing Pacakges
We offer three angling packages for New Zealand flyfishing. In addition, we have a non-angler package that is full of exciting opportunities.
The Hiking
Package
Package 1
For
those fit and adventurous anglers we have a very exciting package that
involves a fair level of fitness and superb flyfishing. This includes
six days of walking into some of New Zealand's finest back country trout
streams. All packs and camping gear are supplied. This trip is not
for everyone as there is a great deal of rigorous hiking with a pack,
but the reward is spectacular!
You will be using back country huts as a means of shelter. These huts were built during the early part of the twentieth century by deer cullers. This allowed them to stay in the bush longer and kept safe from the elements. Today these huts are maintained by the New Zealand Department of Conservation and offers the angler a unique and comfortable experience of New Zealand's back country.
This package is $2500/double or 2900/single (U.S. dollars) includes six days in the bush and gives the angler a one-on-one with New Zealand's flora and fauna. Adventures with breath taking views back to the remote bush trout streams include all meals prepared over an open fire.
The Tour

This
package is geared for all levels of anglers. The trip will include
six days of fishing and driving to remote and local rivers and streams.
The transportation will be provided by four-wheel drive trucks.
We will be staying at the lodge in Brightwater. Breakfast and dinner will be served at the lodge while lunch will be prepared riverside by your guide. We leave for the rivers at 7:00 a.m. and returning back to the lodge by 7:00 p.m. After dinner the evening is wide open for a trot into town or just relaxing at the lodge chatting about the day's catches over cocktails.
The cost of this trip is $2500/double or 2900/single (U.S. dollars).
The Fish-More
Package
Package 3
This
package is identical to Package 2 with the option to travel to the river
via helicopter. This experience gives the angler a ride to the most
remote rivers that New Zealand has to offer.
The additional cost is based on helicopter hours at the rate of $850 (U.S. dollars) per hour for two anglers. Helicopter service provided by Nelson Helicopter Ltd.
An additional
non-angler package is also available.
